With the increase in the number of faster smarter mobile phones today, there is also the increased challenge in the IT sector that supports these phones. Mobile business applications are still in the growth stage in community along with the increasing number and variety of fashionable smart phones. All these applications and devices should have admittance to the numerous databases and moreover, all of this data must be synchronized and encrypted for protection. These complicated problems are being resolved by the Mobile enterprise application platform or MEAP. A MEAP represents a unitary front that serves in the creation and the dispatch of the software for the Smartphones, tablets, etc. In other words, MEAP handles all the solutions to the mobile applications. The effort shows an exponential growth if a MEAP is not used and the task of deploying and integrating for multiple and widely varying mobile platform can be daunting. A MEAP comprises of two parts mostly, a mobile shopper application and a mobile middleware server. The middleware server is the master element that integrates and handles all the system tasks, safety of the system, communication, scalability of the operations and cross platform supports. There is no storage of data in the server. It only handles the mobility of the data from the server to the device and vice versa. There is an addition provision for including a mobile development toolset in the Mobile Enterprise Application Platform. It helps the manufacturers develop and alter mobile solutions. MEAP’s are extremely assisting in overcoming the difficulties of developing the mobile software by integration and management of the range of the mobile devices, network and user groups from the time of deployment to the end of the solution’s life cycle. A MEAP ensures complete lifetime support and provides mobility. A manufacturer would use the MEAP to develop the mobile business applications and then can deploy it to the mobile devices like smart phones and tablets.
