Haven’t you noticed that whenever a bathroom is clean it feels so refreshing to take a bath or clean yourself?! But how many of us know how to clean it? I bet not so many, especially teenagers, they do slack off a lot when it comes to cleaning it. They don’t want their hands to touch toilet bowls which they often use. I often ask question on why does someone don’t want to clean the things he often use?! Isn’t it his/her responsibility to take good care of it since it’s his property? Preparing the materials to be used are the primary steps on every cleaning procedures. That is why I have outlined some of the materials you will need on cleaning a bathroom: Pails or Buckets –This will be used to cleaning materials especially the chemicals you will about to use. Bowl Brush –the brush you will be using to scrub the inner side of the toilet bowl. Separate it among all other cleaning materials. Put it on a separate bucket or pail. Bowl brushes can either be round or J-shape, it is design for hard to reach places inside the toilet bowl. Gloves – you will need one to protect your hands from bacteria and harmful chemicals that you will be using. Mask – is use to cover your mouth and nose in order for you not to inhale harmful vapors that the chemicals produce. Cleaning Chemicals – the chemicals you will need are disinfectant, toilet bowl cleaner, glass cleaner and some soap (although it is optional since they have the same function as the disinfectant). Sponge, brush and scrub – to be used to scrub away dirt and stains on walls, floor, bathtub and toilet bowls. Squeegee – Used to clean the mirrors with the help of glass cleaner chemical. This tool has a wiper and a sponge at the other side of it. The sponge is used to apply glas cleaner into the glass or mirror and the wiper is to wipe those chemicals. Clean cloth – this is to wipe dry the walls, bathtubs, mirrors, faucets and showers. Floor Mop – Probably the last cleaning material you will use on cleaning the bathroom, you will use it to dry the floor to avoid accidents such as slipping. After you have gathered all the necessary materials for cleaning, it is time to start the cleaning process. Always keep on mind that when you clean a bathroom the direction should be from wall to floor. Meaning you should always start with the wall and the last part to be clean should be the floor. And from the inner most portion towards the door, that way you won’t step on the floor that you have already cleaned and mopped.
