It is like a dream come true for anyone in this world to live in the USA. The multi-cultured, pluralistic and tolerant society of the US has unique attraction for almost everyone. There are many people in the queue to get a visa for US immigration. But all of them are not so lucky. One of the most important things required for a visa is the identity proof. Yes, you do not need your identity card or your high school certificate for that. What you need is your birth certificate. The birth certificate is the most valid document accepted by the embassy as a proof of identity. The birth certificate must have some elements compulsorily and they are- - The municipality seal
- The correct name
- The date of birth
- Name of both the parents
- The place of birth
In addition to this a few more things regarding the birth certificate is a must. These include: - The original copy must be submitted if the applicant has to sponsor some other individual. Otherwise a photocopy is enough.
- The registration of birth must be made within a year of the birth of the applicant.
- The certificate might be issued on some other date.
- The certificate must not be incomplete or erroneous.
In case it has errors or is incomplete the applicant must get it corrected from the concerned department otherwise the certificate is not valid for an applicant to the US migration. In some cases a person might not possess a birth certificate. Some of the reasons for it could be: - Destroyed in some calamity
- Lost or stolen
- Never applied in the municipality by the parents or guardians
- Never issued by the municipality
In such a case the applicant must get a document in written from the concerned officials giving in the precise reason for the unavailability of the certificate.
