One day I was thinking about how the state of music industry is and with the last day’s news on the unlawful downloads and comments of some of the performers, I discovered myself requiring to let off some vapor. In short, illegal downloading is hurting the singers and music industry. Individuals declare that it's always been occurring - bootlegs and CD writing etc - but not to the level that it is now because the sad reality is that basically anyone with a PC can do it within a few moments, downloading collection of albums that took performers, technicians, singers and everybody else several months to create. The even sadder reality is that I can't see it reducing down. Individuals are either too ridiculous to realize what's occurring, or they do but don't care about it, these are the same individuals who you can discuss with and they will declare that they really like music and care about it. These are the same individuals who will tell you they are fed up of the common, low quality songs that we see prominent these days. May be the labels do give performers difficulties but at the end of the day almost everyone of your favorite artists could never have made it without the assistance of a record label. At the end of the day, record label is a business. If they're not making a lot of cash because folks are stealing their items, they have to adhere to what they think will assure their survival. For example, they aren't going to take a bet on a new rock'n'roll band who could take the nation by storm, or have equivalent possibility of absolutely failing, they're going to invest on an excellent looking woman to perform over some synth pop rhythms that took ten minutes to create on a PC. what's even more intense than unlawful downloading, is the justification people give protect it. I listen to people saying "well Jay-Z/Noel Gallagher/Ed Sheeran said in an appointment with blah blah that they don't care about people downloading their songs illegally". What? Why do these folks matter? Why would they fear about it? they're sh-tting so much cash that the only factor they need to fear about is getting a larger toilet to capture it all in. Don't ask them - ask the band who perform their asses off daily, composing new songs, placing in 100% just to perform in front of 50 people weekly because brands can't AFFORD TO RISK SIGNING THEM. Therefore however excellent music they create, they have little possibility of their songs reaching the large numbers without them switching into Maroon 5. The other defective discussion that I hear is "it's all about performing live, it doesn't matter if people obtain songs for free because individuals will come and see the band in a show or concert and they'll get their cash that way". This only works for performers who have already "made it" - how is a band intended to be able to perform to many individuals and earn enough cash without a record label assistance or an album available to the public community - unless they've just won the lottery and can therefore finance it themselves. At when I don't see factors getting much better until people begin seeing the injury which unlawful downloading is doing to songs and music industry.
