Everything nowadays is designed to make us lazy. We don’t get enough exercise but in my opinion that is great but it is argued we need to. I just don’t feel the need to go to the gym or exercise my body more than necessary because I feel I do enough every day. My next birthday will see me turn the dreaded 60. Can I say no matter how many people say it is the new 40 I am not happy about it, but in myself I feel just fine? Over the years I have had spurts of exercise madness like when my children were young I would be in front of the television first thing exercising with Mad Lizzie and then Mr Motivator but now I am just happy that my house has 6 floors and lots of stairs which I have to run up and down all the time replacing a running machine and keeping pennies in my purse. So that saves me putting myself through unnecessary trauma by getting a bus to the gym. Really, I don’t feel it is something I need to do to be happy, do you? Work takes up most of our day and when we are at work we look forward to the end of the day whether manual work or sitting at a desk, I am sure most people feel the same, because then we can deal with things that please us and not have to worry about what is happening at work. I feel we have work to live and should not have to live to work. Lots of people including myself work late or think about their day or what tomorrow may bring. I try to be happy so when I do go home work is not on my mind. I don’t have to think about too much except my quite large family. When I come home it is a pleasure to not have to get up and down to operate my television because I can do it by remote control. Sky television I also have a remote control for. Now I have upgraded I can even turn my CD player on by remote control to hear my music. After a hard day at work the best thing for me is I can relax, turn my Hunter Ceiling Fan to the right speed by the remote control. For me, after a long hard day it is a joy to go and sit quietly and know that if I go directly to my room, or the living room, once I sit down or lay down, I don’t have to get up to do anything. I just change or pre-set anything I need to by simply getting the right handset and press a button. To me that is the epitome of what I call lazy but then that is what I want lazy days especially in my ripe old age. I need to save all my strength to get up and do the same old same old by going to work. I am afraid sad but oh so true. One day I may even be able to have a remote control for the washer and dryer. I am sure a lot of women would agree that would be great but we would need a clever robot to sort and put it in the washer. I guess I haven’t thought that idea through really. Stay at home mums work harder than anyone else and I can vouch for that with 5 kids. They gets worn out and stressed especially during holidays. At the end of a long day all they wants a bit of a peace and quiet be4cause during the day it is manic what with children’s needs, school runs and all that goes with it. Many centuries ago, when I was a stay at home mum, it was nonstop till about 8pm but even then packed lunches and uniforms had to be prepared for tomorrow. If the television channel needed to be changed or a record needed to be changed then there was the whole up and down though having lots of kids was handy. When my children were young we had it a lot harder because things like the microwave did not exist. Meals were a mammoth task as they needed doing from scratch not like now at all. So in conclusion and in my opinion we know to appreciate the changes in our lives, though sometimes not always for the better, but with so many things having remote controls I want to say categorically my Hunter Fan is one of the best things I own with a remote. When I need a quiet serene hour to myself that is the first thing I grab. Hunter Remote Controls
