Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2012 began September 11th, and is certainly an enormous hit! The event is located in Disney's Magic Kingdom theme park and guests, both young and young at heart, are welcomed to wear entertaining costumes and go trick-or-treating all through the theme park. During the day, all runs as usual at Magic Kingdom; but after 7:00 pm, and until midnight, the theme park is transformed into a Halloween wonderland! This year's event dates include: September: 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 30 October: 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23, 25, 26, 28, 30, 31 November: 2 The event has been a staple for several Disney World addicts since its introduction in 1996. This year, 215 tons of candy from various sponsors - including Nestle, M&M's, and others - are lying in store for kids (and, hopefully, their fortunate parents) to trick-or-treat for! Special areas are devoted for Trick-or-Treating, and are as follows: Adventureland, nearby the Jungle Cruise ride and in the Pirates of the Caribbean line; Liberty Square, at the Liberty Square Riverboat; Fantasyland, the Peter Pan's Flight line, the Railroad Station, and inside Pinocchio's Village Haus; Tomorrowland, nearby the Tomorrowland Speedway, near Space Mountain, and nearby Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress. On top of that, there are even Trick-or-Treat Trails; one in Frontierland, with its entrance at the line for Splash Mountain, and the other in Fantasyland, with its entrance close to the Barnstormer and its exit in Tomorrowland. Entertainment for this year's event is full of fun and wonder for all ages! And of course, no one can forget the Happy HalloWishes fireworks, starting at 9:30 pm; wonderful colors and shapes explode over Cinderella Castle, lighting up the sky with magic. There are special Disney characters, old and new, in halloween outfits of their own-- wandering around and waiting to meet you! There are also three dance parties this year; Rock-It Out ... Stitch's CLub 626, at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland, and Woody's Happy Harvest Roundup, in The Diamond Horseshoe in Liberty Square. The Disney villains, meanwhile, will be at the Villains' Dance Mix & Mingle on the castle stage; times are 7:45 pm, 8:50 pm, 10:05 pm, and 11:15 pm. (If the weather's wicked, they'll be greeting their fans at the Tomorrowland Terrace.) Tickets for Mickey's Halloween Party sell out very quickly, especially for October 31st.
