Dear friends, do you know what trends in kitchen paint colors currently in our daily life? As we know, keeping up with the latest trends can sometimes be exhausting. From the clothes kids wear to movies and music there is a constant flux in what is hot and what is not. But some trends require a little more serious consideration --- the things you have to live with for a considerable amount of time. Paint color in your kitchen is one of them. While there are certainly changing trends in kitchen paint colors, there are some recent preferences that appear to be safe year in and year out and are constant in the modern home. Earth Tones According to the Kitchen Kool website, painting your kitchen in earth tones is still a favorite choice as recently as 2010. These neutral muted colors are easy on the eyes and provide a timeless look that won't leave you questioning your decisions next year. It seems these colors are perpetually safe for the kitchen. Earth tones include shades of brown, tan, taupe, variations of green, gray or clay colored paints. The colors are often selected based on the external colors of the home. A beige house with an earth tone kitchen seems to maintain the flow of the decor from the lawn to the kitchen and beyond. Going "Green" If there is an easy-to-spot trend in today's world, it is a trend known simply as "going green," which doesn't mean people are painting their kitchens green. At least that's not necessarily the case. What it means is conserving items and using only what is necessary while taking responsibility for the environment and minimizing the product used daily. Paint is no exception, and one painting trend for kitchens goes right along with this idea. Instead of repainting the kitchen in a bright new color, work with what you have. Touch up damaged paint, or add a new color by using it sparingly as an accent while leaving as much of the existing paint on the wall as you can. By today's "green" standards, this is every bit as cool as choosing the latest fad color. Happy, Soothing Colors A consistently favored choice for kitchen colors includes the colors from the happy or soothing palette. Interior paint trends often aim to make the homeowner feel at ease or relaxed in their home. According to the Kitchen Kool website, shades of pink, yellow and even greens and tans do the trick. Depending on the particular resident, these colors can make the homeowner truly feel at home, which is actually the most important factor of them all.
