Without a clear understanding of your market and what you have to offer you may make some of the common mistakes inherent to running a business You may spend time targeting the wrong market for your overall objectives. The problem with focusing only on more sales is, if you have not determined your profit margins, you could actually be losing money with each sale. Profitable sales are often a better company goal than maximum sales volume. • Determine the needs of your customers through market research. Then decide on specific markets to determine what product or service will satisfy their needs.
