Fume hoods are equipment’s that are essentially used in the laboratory and in various industrial applications. The material from which fume hoods are constructed are carefully chosen between industrial grade and fire resistant commercial woods covered with laminated sheets and lined completely with epoxy coating or FRP lining or corrosion resistant steel sheets duly painted with attractive stove enamel. The work table is made of heavy gauge construction material fortified with acid proof glazed tiles. The work bench is also provided with a small sink made of stainless steel grade. Besides these, all kinds of fume hoods are incorporated with sliding sash made of special grade shatter proof glass duly framed in wooden or aluminium frame with sliding motion or counter weight balanced mechanism. This equipment’s assure minimum illustration levels of approximately 800 LUX, on the work table. FRP fume hoods are equipped with very diligent heavy duty exhaust system that comprises of dynamically balanced centrifugal impeller with high speed motor of approximate 1440 RPM that is controlled by DOL starter. Though while using these equipment’s the user should be aware of the toxic properties of the chemicals, as there are chemicals that are over explosive; therefore it is necessary to take the required precautions.
