Dealing with failures is not an easy task to some of us. Some people are easily discouraged which eventually leads them to deep sorrow. Almost all of us have undergone this kind of sober some time in our life. This is just normal, however there are people who doesn’t know how to handle this kind of sentiment. For them, the best solution to end their problem is to take their own lives. Suicide rate has greatly increased over the years. This is a very alarming fact because it signifies the instability of the population’s mental and emotional health. No one ever has the right to take our lives, especially ourselves. Before a person commits suicide, there are evident signs that we should be able to recognize in order for us to prevent the tragic thing from happening. One sign is that a person undergoes deep depression and usually deviates from his natural routine. He will then start to withdraw himself from social interaction and will engage in alcoholism. Later, he will then start to express his interest in committing this tragic thing. His first attempt will usually fail because there is still hesitation in his thoughts. But this does not mean that we should not do anything in case we encounter such actions. As soon as these signs are present, we should notify without delay his immediate family about the person’s current thoughts. It is also strongly recommended to seek professional help in order to prevent the loss of life. The succeeding attempts will usually result to their deaths. One way of saving our love ones from this heartrending death is to expose them to activities which will keep their attention away from their problems. One effective way to do this is to immerse them in sports. That is why the local government, in cooperation with the private sector organized a free dodgeball clinic. They aim to rehabilitate these troubled individuals so that their thoughts and feelings will be made lively again. The program will be spearheaded by the Melbourne Dodgeball League and will be held at the Bundoora Indoor Sports Centre. With this small step, they are hopeful that it will somehow lessen the fatalities due to suicide and will somehow start a spark to other sports organizations to follow their lead. Let us keep in mind that our lives were given to us at a price. We must make the most out of it and not waste it.
