It doesn't matter where you have been or what you have done in your life to this point. Writing can become your game. It's a lot of fun and it can pay extremely well too. There are typically two roads you could take to become a successful writer: 1) The traditional publishing channels that involve sending out query letters and book proposals and 2) Self-publishing. Following the traditional publishing route can be tough slugging. It's not an impossible task and some writers have done very well. But the benefits of self-publishing are hard to beat. Anyone Can Become a Successful Self-Publisher But self-publishing eliminates all the roadblocks to getting your creation to market fast. You don't need the approval of anyone else. All you have to do is write your report and start selling it. Let the marketplace tell you if you've hit the mark. Plenty of people have achieved remarkable success with self-publishing and there's no good reason why you can't too. One of my clients has so far sold more than 55,000 copies of his eBook from a simple web site. Another sold several thousand copies of a short 24-page report for $29 each. Neither of these required any special skills or inside knowledge. Both products were based on simple research and basic writing. It's something you could easily accomplish too. Just open your mind to the possibilities. All it takes is one idea and the drive to see it through to completion. But it need not take you years to accomplish. Anyone can write a book in 30 days and some can do it much faster than that. The trick is to have a system and to work that system from beginning to end. Motivate Yourself Fact is... there's no telling how successful you can become by publishing your own writing. The sky truly is the limit in this exciting field. If you can dream it... you can create it. Let your imagination run wild. Think about the kind of book you'd like to write. Next, list the reasons why you want to write your book. Here are a few examples: "I want to write a book about ________ (fill in the blank) because it will give me an additional monthly income stream." "I want to write a book about ________ because it will build my credibility in the field." "I want to write a book about ________ because I only have to do the work once and it can pay off for years." "I want to write a book about ________ because others have done it and I know I can do it too." Create a huge list. What you're doing is transforming a dream or wish into a compelling desire. Getting Started Is The Hardest Part Once you've got your idea for a book or report, it's easy to get fired up. You want to start writing immediately while your enthusiasm surges. But this can be a big mistake if you don't first take the time to map out a plan or outline. Creating an outline is the key to success with any writing project. When you plan it first and then write, your words are organized, consistent and coherent. In other words, what you've written makes a great book. But begin writing without a clear defined framework and you're bound to hit obstacle after obstacle. This process causes unnecessary frustration. It's been the downfall of many who started out with glorious dreams and no small amount of ambition. Nothing is more important than to do your thinking in advance in the form of an outline or blueprint. Do this first and your writing will be super-productive and unencumbered by uncertainty along the way. You'll get your book finished in record time. See It Through Starting your writing project is one thing. Getting it completed is another. It may seem like a daunting task if you look at it as one giant writing project. But every major project in any industry is made up of multiple component parts. It's a whole bunch of small pieces put together like a giant jigsaw puzzle. That's the best way to approach your book. Break it down in your outline and then write on little piece at a time. Eventually those smaller segments add up and before you know it your book is half done. Follow through to the end and you'll have an asset that can pay you a healthy dividend for many years to come. essay uk online
