World travelers should focus on enjoying themselves, not on how much they’re paying to get online. It’s also true that renting a hotspot is a highly efficient means of accessing the Internet abroad. However, this latter system can be quite pricey. Unless you plan on being on the Internet A LOT while you’re away, it’s unlikely you’ll require your own hotspot. Incidentally, the prepaid plan isn’t useful only for world travel; you can also purchase this kind of online access as a backup system for your home Internet.
