Taking a hearing test is something you may have done as a child. If you need to turn up the television when you enter a room or you have to watch someone's lips to tell what he or she is saying, this is a big indication of a problem. If you cannot hear what others are saying and therefore do not participate in the activities you used to do, especially in louder environments like social gatherings for religious needs or in restaurants, this is important to recognize.
