Top Attractions in Tennessee

Business
Whenever we think of moving, we automatically picture a harrowing and energy-draining task. Yes, relocation is stressful without a doubt, but you need not see it from that angle. Instead you should think about the new place you are moving to and the different attractions that it has to offer.

Sun Studio & Beale Street

Memphis, Tennessee is a lively city that is full of unforgettable music, unique attractions and festive events. In fact, it is touted to be the home of blues and the birthplace of rock n' roll. Sun Studio is a renowned landmark here because it is the world-famous recording studio where Elvis Presley recorded his first song "That's All Right". Not only Elvis, but legends like BB King, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Roy Orbison recorded the top selling songs in all of music history here. Beale Street is famous for blues music for more than 50 years. It is dotted with lively music clubs, fun pubs, eateries and shops and is the hub of inspiring blues and rock music, delicious daiquiris and ribs, art galleries, and exciting festivals, such as the world-famous Beale Street Music Festival. Graceland

Embark on the journey of Elvis Presley's 14-acre estate in Memphis and discover how he became the “King”. Get to know the man who changed the face of American music forever – the tour tells you all about his humble roots right to his rise to superstardom and also includes personal trivia. Go for an audio-guided tour of Graceland Mansion, and check out the Elvis Auto Museum, Sincerely Elvis - featuring Elvis jumpsuits - Elvis's Custom Jets, and the Elvis after Dark exhibit. Do stay the night at Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel located just across the street.

Chattanooga Choo Choo

Chattanooga has a rich railroad history and you can get a first-hand experience by seeing one of the original trains in Chattanooga's former Terminal Station at the 30-acre Chattanooga Choo Choo resort complex. The restored Chattanooga Choo Choo, one of the South’s most unique landmarks, is an exciting combination of fun and history with historic railway cars, historical railway exhibits, one of the world's largest working "HO" gauge model railroads, the authentic New Orleans trolley, beautifully landscaped gardens, and an array of shopping and restaurants, including a restored 1940s dining car.

Grand Ole Opry, Music Row & Country Music Hall of Fame

The capital city of Tennessee, known as the Music City, is home to the most legendary attractions of country music. Nashville is full of fun attractions from music to museums, like the Gaylord Entertainment Center, Nashville Coliseum - home of the Tennessee Titans - Nashville Zoo, Parthenon, Tennessee State Museum, and Belle Meade Plantation. Want to experience the history and sounds of Nashville? Visit Opryland, Ryman Auditorium, mother church of country music, Music Row, the heart of country music recording and publishing, the Country Music Hall of Fame, a museum that celebrates the history of country music and honor its legends, and the Grand Ole Opry, a Nashville icon that presents exciting entertainment experiences. There is also the renowned Opryland Resort that includes attractions like a 44-foot waterfall, fountain shows, and tours aboard Delta Flatboats.

The Hermitage

Situated only 12 miles form downtown Nashville, The Hermitage is the former residence of President Andrew Jackson. The enthralling tour of this beautiful and historic mansion includes guides in period costume. You will get to know numerous facts about Andrew Jackson's life, family farm and the slaves who worked it. There are many historic buildings, the museum shop and café on the plantation grounds.

Tennessee Aquarium

The Tennessee Aquarium overlooks the Tennessee River in Chattanooga and it has amazing marine creatures in natural habitats. You will be guided on a journey from the mountains to the sea, and encounter 10-foot sharks, toothy alligators, giant spider crabs, playful river otters, adorable penguins, colorful fish and hundreds of beautiful flying butterflies. There is also the Ocean Journey exhibit that leads you into the ocean where fierce sharks, stingrays and colorful reef fish glide through coral formations. There is also the "Boneless Beauties" gallery where you will encounter graceful jellyfish and a giant octopus. Don’t forget to try the shark and ray touch pool or River Journey building which takes you on an adventure through the world's rivers. Just next door, there is scope to embark on a visual adventure at an IMAX 3D Theater and see Deep Sea 3D, Sea Monsters 3D and the Polar Express 3D.

Jack Daniel Distillery

Go on a guided tour of the famous Jack Daniel Distillery - the country's oldest registered distillery - in Lynchburg, Tennessee, just 75 miles southeast of Nashville. Get to know about the amazing history of America's charcoal mellowed whiskey and the legend of Old No. 7 from the guides. You might also get a chance to try a nip of Tennessee's best whiskey and hear interesting anecdotes about Mr. Jack!

Looking to move to Tennessee? Going online will get you access to all the information you need but for localized listings it is better to include the name of the city as well, while you search. For example, look for Chattanooga movers, moving companies in Brentwood, moving services in Nashville, or Franklin moving professionals, to get more detailed and specific listings. Before deciding on any one company, ensure that you get estimates from at least 2-3 places to get an idea regarding pricing.
