Uninstall COMODO Internet Security Premium with WindowsUninstaller Org Removal Tips

Computers,Software,Press Release

At a single point or another, this happens to every computer user on this planet: You install COMODO Internet Security Premium, find out you don't like it, or need the idea, or that its plain useless for your task you wanted to use it for and you intend to uninstall COMODO Internet Security Premium. So you open the Windows Add/Remove tool, click the button to uninstall COMODO Internet Security Premium... and pay attention to that you cannot uninstall this system. In this article I will endeavor to explain how to drive uninstall COMODO Internet Security Premium, that you cannot uninstall when using the Windows Add/Remove tool. Before which, however, I will try to spellout what happens during installation.

What you should know to uninstall a plan manually
There are several things that happen during the installation of a program.
First, of course, is the copying of files towards the specified program folder (which is frequently somewhere inside the Program Documents folder). Also some files for example shared libraries (. dll files) might be copied into a folder interior Program Files called Common Files and several files such as drivers or even shared libraries (again) are copied to the ' WINDOWS\System32' and ' WINDOWS\System32\drivers' directories.
After that the installer makes some changes inside windows registry. The windows registry can be a unified place where all this settings for programs and pertaining to windows itself are stored. The installer may make changes inside the registry for a number of reasons. For example if a shared library must be registered. Or if certain types of files ought to be associated with the program staying installed, so that the individual could open them (e. gary. if you install Microsoft Term, then you will be capable of open Microsoft Word documents). After this is done, a key is put into the windows registry in an area where the Windows Add/Remove tool tries installed programs. During the installation these operations are logged in a special file (e. g. setup. log), and the installation program generally puts that file inside the application's folder and also the uninstaller. When a user tries to eliminate COMODO Internet Security Premium through the Add/Remove device, windows looks for the registered uninstaller inside registry, and executes it. The uninstaller goes thru the log file and undoes each of the changes done during installation. That's, it deletes all the files which have been copied, all the registry secrets the installer created etc.
Nonetheless, if there is no firewood file, or if there isn't a record of the changes made to the registry the uninstaller might are not able to uninstall COMODO Internet Security Premium, and it will continue to be there untill it is taken away by other means.
Therefore if COMODO Internet Security Premium won't uninstall, tips on how to perform a force uninstall?
Effectively, if you know how to cooperate with the windows registry, you probably is able to do a manual force uninstall.
Before I go into detail about how to do this manually, I'd like to say this is pretty advanced stuff, and if you're not a power individual, then perhaps you should consider using specialized software including the uninstall tool which allows you to do this in just a few mouse clicks.
If you are a power user, then let's go on. First, let's see how to eliminate the program from the list of installed programs. To do you'll want to open the registry browser:

Click Start and choose Run from the menu (If you're using House windows Vista then press Win+R with your keyboard).

Type regedit in addition to hit Enter.

On the left side will be the registry settings tree, use it to visit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Inside that key you'll find a lot of keys that belong to various programs. Some are named after the program's name, others as a mix of numbers and letters that can make no sense. Look through everybody until you find one that's the key DisplayName (on the right) with your program's name in it.

Notice the true secret UninstallString - this key points towards the uninstall program, and the log file usually resides from the same folder as that plan.

If you delete the true secret in which you've found the DisplayName key with the value equal to your program's title, then your program won't appear about the Add/Remove programs list.

Some programs create new entries from the registry to store their construction options, these entries can usually be found in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software or in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE - try to find the program name or the name on the company that made the application. Don't delete Microsoft though - that contains Windows settings as well.
