"Public Service Commission is a central agency which conducts the Civil Service Examination, Engineering Service Examination, Combined Defence Service Examination, National defence Academy Examination and various other exams. JKPSC is also a Public Service Commission which conducts the examination in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. In JKPSC the chairman and the members of the PSC are appointed by the State government for a period of five years or till the age reaches 65 years. Public Service Commission also functions on advising if the candidates are suitable for appointments, promotions and transfer on deputation postings. It carry the recruitment process in various states and centres. The selection process of these Public Service commission’s consists of both written examination and oral test or Interview. Many government agencies and centres recruitment process is based on this process only.Public Service Commission is responsible for various recruitment done under government sectors.
