There was a time when Pakistan was quite a large market for Nokia mobiles. Most of the population was fond of Nokia phone due to their durability and sound features. During that time Iphone Smartphone were sold unofficially in Pakistan at a very large scale. This is a recorded fact that though Apple did not operated in Pakistan locally but still it had a following at a very high level in the country. People used Apple for their smart phone needs and had Nokia as a second phone. What has gone different with this trend? What has changed the preferences of the people? The answer to these questions can be summed up in only one word that is none other than Samsung. This Japanese company has given a very tough time to its competitors like Nokia, LG, Sony Ericson and most of all, the giant Apple. The question that comes to everybody’s mind is that what different does the new comer did to grasp the attentions of the potential customers? This question can be answered after taking Samsung achievements into account. Today one can see Samsung dominating the smart phone market as well as phone market for usage as a second option. Some of the reasons why Samsung is dominating the cellular phone market are discussed as under. Economical pricing Samsung technology launched their smart phone at a comparatively less price. This is of the most dominating factor as this country is under developed and everyone cannot afford to have an Apple smart phone. That can also be a reason that people have switched towards smart phone manufactured by Samsung as they provide it on less prices with latest android technology. This is also a reason that today apart from buying new iphone 4s smart phone people have switched towards Samsung galaxy smart phones or towards Used iPhone Smartphones. Galaxy craze Samsung galaxy smart phones have outnumbered all other smart phone brands in Pakistan in the ratio of sales. This is a fact as Samsung provides a wide range of galaxy smart phones with different specifications and pricing. Adequate branding policy Samsung has an appropriate branding and promotional policy whenever a new product comes. It advertises its products out n loud to the public emphasizing on the pricing and feature that Samsung is offering. This is not only limited to phone but today Samsung is also featuring is Laptop computer and digital cameras in Pakistan and it is expected that it also would be having a positive response. Taking these factors under consideration it can be said that in the coming time Samsung will have a much bigger market in Pakistan. In the coming time Samsung will also be having a cool craze of its used products in the market as well. Used Cameras and used computers manufactured by Samsung will also shake the market of cameras and branded computer firms like Dell, HP, ACER and SONY. The range and pricing smart phones and other phones that Samsung is having at the moment is matchless. Other competitor will have to seriously think about their marketing strategies as today it is not only Samsung with has already threatened their hegemony but Chinese mobile firms are also coming up with many different mobile models over the year. A big example is Q Mobiles Company which is also having a big market in Pakistan.
