Weiber Laminar Air Row Bench is designed to conform to the United States federal standard 209B/BS5295 and meets the class 100 conditions. Our units are fabricated of industrial grade wooden boards covered with mica sheets. The inner portion of all our laminar air rows is painted with epoxy paint coating for extra long life. The working table is made of heavy gauge stainless steel sheet of grade ss-304. The side panels made out of heavy plexi glass sheets are mounted on anodized aluminum frames. The whole unit is supplied with differential manometer to gauge the pressure drop in the unit while operation, beside the gas cock, power socket etc. It is an airflow in which the entire body of air within a confined area moves in a uni-directional velocity along with parallel flow lines in lame language. Technically speaking, laminar airflow is the fluid flow in which the air velocities are free of macroscopic fluctuations which occur when the Reynolds Number is less than 2000.The laminar airflow benches come in both, horizontal and vertical models. The High Efficiency Particulate Air aka HEPA filter is used to remove particulates, generally called aerosols, like micro-organisms from the air. They are made up of boron silicon micro fibers formed into a flat sheet. The overall surface area of the flat sheets is increased by pleating them. Aluminum baffles are used to separate the pleats which direct the airflow through the filter. The use of this airflow system has moved from research and manufacturing to other fields such as aerospace, food processing, bioscience and pharmaceutical production. Today laminar airflow benches are used in a whole gamut of applications throughout medical research laboratories, manufacturing facilities, hospitals and other research and production environments. The Horizontal Laminar Airflow System the room air is drawn into the base of the hood by the blower or motor through a washable reusable pre-filter. The air pushed up the rear plenum of the hood passes through the HEPA filter and is directed across the work surface at a constant velocity of 100 FPM towards the user.
