Dear friends, do you know how to install stone wall tiles in the bathroom in the daily life? As we know, Sandstone tiles are often less common than their ceramic counterparts, mostly because of their generally higher cost. While they are usually more expensive than ceramic tiles, they offer a natural durability and resistance to moisture that can be greater than ceramic tiles. Bathrooms remain one of the most common places to use stone tile in modern construction and, while stone and ceramic tiles are very different, their installation processes are very similar. Installing stone wall tiles in a bathroom is a straightforward task that can be completed by just about anyone with a basic understanding of tile installation. Now, I am ready to share you with the instructions step by step as follows, and I believe you will benefit much from them. Firstly, add about 1/2 bag of thinset mix to 1/2 gallon of clean water in a large bucket; refer to the thinset packaging for any other possible recommendations. Secondly, mix the thinset, using an electric drill and mixing attachment, for 5 to 10 minutes or as otherwise directed on the thinset packaging. Let the mixture sit undisturbed for 10 to 15 minutes before using, unless otherwise directed on the thinset bag. Thirdly, set a row of limestone tiles along the bottom edge of the wall, about 1/8 inch from each other, using a mastic trowel to apply thinset to the back of the tiles. Insert plastic tile spacers between the tiles, if desired or necessary. Cut any tiles to fit as needed with the tile saw; read the tile saw owner's manual for operation and safety instructions. Fourthly, set the following rows of tiles, using this process, up the face of the stone wall. Set a 2-foot level on the top edge of a tile row, as you work your way up, to ensure straight and consistent tile rows are achieved. Fifthly, allow the tiles to cure to the thinset mortar for about 24 hours before moving on, unless otherwise instructed on the thinset packaging. Sixthly, add about 1/2 bag of grout mix to 1/2 gallon of clean water in a large bucket; refer to the grout packaging for any other possible recommendations. Seventhly, mix the grout, using an electric drill and mixing attachment, for 5 to 10 minutes or as otherwise directed on the grout packaging. Eighthly, fill a grout bag a little more than 1/2 full, using a mastic trowel to scoop grout mix into the bag. Ninthly, apply grout to the tile joints with the grout bag, using a large sponge to clean any excess grout from the joints as you work your way across the tiled surface.
