It’s more upscale than the Corolla and offers an alternative to the Camry. The Toyota Premio, redesigned in 2007, has superior styling that provides an elegant and stately ride. First released in December 2001, the Premio and its twin the Allion appealed to customers that looked for quality, spacious interiors, and excellent driving performance. The Premio is exclusively available from Toyopet dealers in Japan, but are now also on sale at used-car markets. The Premio’s design that evokes luxury and presence is based on the Toyota brand design philosophy of vibrant clarity. You can see this in the Premio’s high-class appearance and dignified, shiny poise. The redesign came up with a front end that features a strong vertical line from the side fender extending to the corner of the bumper. A prominent center strikes out from the hood. On to the side, character lines and side protection molding gives off a refined feel; the rear also displays a sense of modern luxury in its combination taillights and sculpted form. The Toyota Premio launched in 2007 is 80mm longer and 55mm wider than the first-generation release, resulting in a more functional and spacious interior. The spacious cabin allows a comfortable ride, even through long distances. The rear-seat arrangement is unique to the Premio; seatbacks can fold in a 60/40 split and can be folded flat for more cargo space. The executive look is translated into wood-grain finish for the panels. Class and style can be seen in the silver-colored door grips which are easy to use. Comfort is a priority for the driver, and the Premio provides this in the driver’s seat, which has a vertical adjustment and slide function. The steering wheel’s tilt and telescoping function allows for adjustment so the driver can maneuver the vehicle with the greatest of ease and comfort. Speaking of making things easier, the Premio features a color rear-view monitor that shows the view behind the vehicle to assist the driver when parking. The on-board rear camera is coupled with the world’s first high-resolution position display. The vehicle is also equipped with Smart Entry and Start System technology which uses a key that doesn’t have to leave the driver’s pocket in order to unlock doors and starting the engine. The Toyota Premio comes in 1.8- and 1.5-liter engines and uses Super CVT-i. The continuously variable transmission allows for a smooth cruising without shift shock, and gives a quiet, fuel-efficient ride. Another environmentally good thing about the vehicle is its Eco Drive Indicator, which lights up when the driver practices proper and environmentally-conscious driving (which contributes to greater fuel efficiency and lower emission levels). The Premio went through Eco-VAS, or Eco-Vehicle Assessment System. It was implemented by Toyota in line with its goal of reducing environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle. With that, the Premio has been conceptualized, manufactured, and will be disposed of properly, but not anytime soon, as it is truly one of the most reliable and sturdy rides in its class. Looking for a reliable, eco-friendly, and elegant car for you, your family, or your business? The Toyota Premio is really something you can show off and enjoy driving at the same time.
