2013 is an exciting year for cars, with plenty of new models to look forward to. One of these is the Toyota Vitz 2013 model, or Yaris as it is known in Europe. The Yaris Hybrid is the first full hybrid vehicle to enter the European B-segment market. The Yaris is already the best-selling TMC core model in Europe, selling over 2.5 million units since it was first introduced. The Toyota Vitz 2013 model has a low environmental impact and fuel consumption. Even with its compact size it has a strong acceleration, easy handling, and unique EV capabilities which make it perfect for city and highway driving. The new model is different from the previous releases because of its aerodynamically-efficient exterior design. It has hybrid-specific LED lights—exclusive to the Yaris Hybrid, the projector-type headlamp uses standard chrome-plated brows with a LED lightguide, as well as LED Daytime Running Lights. Sitting in the driver’s seat, users are treated to a futuristic sensation brought about by the interior styling. The instrument dials that incorporate a hybrid system indicator are trimmed with silver rings, and feature a combination of beautiful white and blue backlighting. The Toyota Touch system, mounted at the center console, incorporates a hybrid energy monitor and dual zone air-conditioning, both illuminated in blue. Ice Grey is the Yaris-exclusive color, and it adorns the soft-touch pads of the dashboard and front-door trims. The leather upholstery is trimmed with blue stitching, and the same treatment is given to the steering wheel and hand brake. To top it all off, a unique gear lever comes with blue finish on the gear knob. The Toyota Vitz 2013 model, as the new Yaris Hybrid, features a downsized Hybrid Synergy Drive. The new powertrain is specifically design to fit the vehicle’s compact body, and has been optimized for installation without sacrificing passenger comfort, load space, and system quality and performance. The downsizing has reduced the synergy drive components’ size and weight. The hybrid uses a 1.5-L engine with a lighter and more compact electric motor, inverter, transaxle, and battery pack, making the vehicle lighter than the Auris Hybrid. How does the vehicle perform considering the component downsizing? Astoundingly well. The new powertrain delivers a maximum 74 kW/100 DIN hp system output, thanks to the 55kW petrol engine and battery that powers the electrical motor. The result, of course, is a splendid balance of performance and fuel consumption. The hybrid can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just under 12 seconds and can go up to 165 km/h. All that but producing only 79 g/km of carbon dioxide emissions! On a single tank of fuel, the Yaris Hybrid can take you 1,000 km. Safety standards are easily met with the Yaris Hybrid, which comes equipped with seven airbags, Anti-Lock braking System, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Brake Assist, Traction Control, Corner Stability Control, and Vehicle Stability Control. It did so well in safety tests the Yaris has been given 5 stars by the European New car Assessment Programme. If you’re looking for a new car that delivers high fuel efficiency and low emissions, go for the Toyota Vitz 2013 model. The Vitz/Yaris Hybrid may just be the car for you.
