“Should Arsenal keep Aaron Ramsey in or should they kick him out?” that is the imminent, albeit crude question. Aaron James Ramsey moved to Arsenal from Cardiff City, on a £5 million deal, in 2008. The deal was the brain child of Arsene Wenger who saw Ramsey as a player who exhibited great technique, great visualizing skills and great physical and emotional strength. After making his debut in the Champions League Qualifiers against Twente, on 13 August 2008, he scored his first goal for the club in a game against Fenerbahçe in the group stages of the UEFA Champions League; a game which Arsenal won 5-2. This led to a renewed long term contact with Arsenal. On 28 October 2009, he recorded an amazing performance at the League Cup fourth round against Liverpool that earned him the Man of the Match title. Aaron Ramsey profile has many more titles and awards to show for his impressive performances. On 11 November 2009, he was adjudged the Welsh Young Player of the Year. Following couple of seasons on loan to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City, he returned to Arsenal and scored his first goal, which was also the winning goal, in the 1-0 victory against Manchester United. This consequently won him the Man of the Match award. At the International front, he was appointed as the Captain of the Welsh National football team in 2011, making him the youngest ever Welsh captain at just 20 years of age. Ramsey was also the recipient of the FAW's Young Player of the Year award in 2009. If it were up to me, going by Aaron Ramsey statistics alone, I’d choose to have him in the club. But unfortunately, a shift in paradigm in the last season has Ramsey on the ledge. His performances haven’t been up to the benchmark that he had previously set for himself. The defeat at Olympiakos was partially blamed on Ramsey. In spite of this, he had taken up his game a notch last season and was showing improved passing skills. May be it was keeping in terms with his improved skills or maybe, the Gunners were reluctant to lose one of their true talents, Arsenal has renewed Ramsey’s contact on a five year deal, with him earning an amount of £60,000 a week. Along with Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs and Carl Jenkinson have also been drawn similar contracts.
