They personified the age-old, Biblical qualities of piousness and leadership. Moreover they associated themselves not only with Chabad-Lubavitch, but with the whole of Jewish life, spiritual and physical. No person or detail was too small or irrelevant for their love and commitment. In this generation, the LubavitcherRebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, known simply as "the Rebbe," guided post-holocaust Jewry to safety from the consequences of that desolation. It renders them with an engaging, challenging, holistic academic program and cultivates a love for Jewish tradition, history, language (Hebrew) as well as values.
