We all love listening to the latest songs of the industry – be it Hollywood or Bollywood. In fact, most youngsters today can be seen humming the latest tunes or busy in their own world of music. Two ear plugs and a cell phone or an IPod is all it takes to keep them happy. But it is not possible for everyone to be aware of all the latest trends in music. This duty has been taken up by online social platforms that work as a binding factor for budding musicians and for music lovers alike. It brings them closer to one another and the process is mutually beneficial – one gets to listen to the latest available tracks in the market, the other gains for his hard work and efforts in the form of popularity and fame.
The world, irrespective of the language barrier, is crazy about Hindi songs. Online promotion can be said to be a great contributor for this. The fact is that hindi songs have such mellifluous tunes and is home to such a great number of established and budding artists that not being able to communicate in Hindi does not prevent people over the world from enjoying a good Hindi song. As it is truly said, music transcends all barriers. And the biggest thing that has been working in favor of the online music industry is viral marketing. People who make music have realized the true potential of a social networking site and realize that there is no other way that their latest songs can reach all across the world in a matter of seconds than through a social networking application. They are taking advantage of this not only to promote their music but also to get to know the feedback from people all across the globe. Thus, without any realization, awareness is being created for good music. For example, if a person creates a new tune and floats in online on his profile or shares it through YouTube. He is bound to get feedback on the same. Some of them may be good and genuine while there will always be some that can or should be ignored. Let us suppose that on this music videos, majority share the opinion that the notes are too sharp and need to be mellowed down a little for the music to flow freely. If the musician wishes, he can change his tunes accordingly to make music that is more suited to the masses and is appreciated by almost everyone.
Thus the process of instant feedback system was created without even realizing it. This is the power that people have started using for making their music popular. And in the process, if it gives people the opportunity to listen to some good and fresh tracks, no one will object about it.
