Want to become a better author or writer? Then why not prepare online articles to practice your grammar and carefully edit each one. As you do this each day, you'll become a much better writer, that I can guarantee, and all you need is a grammar book to look up things during the editing phase. You can pick up such a book at any bookstore, even a used bookstore as most of the major grammar rules are still the same. Okay so, let's talk. You see, personally, I've been so challenged with proper grammar. I got a D+ in journalism in junior high, the worst grade I ever received in all my years of schooling. In fact, after that I didn't write much, I even attempted to evade writing and tried to avoid it as much as possible in HS and College. It really wasn't until after retirement that I got into heavy writing. I've been learning as I go, most of what I've learned, I think I learned wrong. I figured since I read quite a bit, which is where I pick things up, it would be enough but it takes more than that so I recommend just buying a book on grammar and using that during editing. One issue I see in the future, especially with writing on the Internet is all the bad grammar and poor examples out there, well, it is far more common - almost to the point that the entire language is being botched. Could this be the last era of fine literature? Who will carry the torch forward? Are you going to be part of the problem or part of the solution? It's time you concentrated on good mechanics, sentence structure, spelling, and grammar and thus, did your part to save writing through your online articles. It seems as if our language has been totally destroyed and lately with Twitter, it's as if half the population cannot put together a proper sentence and when we get into the hard stuff, I can certainly see why people are challenged. Previously, half the time I just took a swinging guess and went for it like Super Chicken! Why not commit yourself to proper writing and show everyone else the difference, why not do it right, and learn as you go? Even people that don't know how to write well inherently know good writing when they read it. It reads easier, it makes more sense, and they are never trying to second-guess exactly what was you meant to say. It makes you look smarter, and therefore whenever you're writing, you appear more credible. It's a win-win all the way around when you produce quality content.
