Dear friends, do you know how to make aggregate patio stones in the daily life? As we know, if you have ever been to a landscaping showroom or a well-landscaped garden, there is a good possibility that you have seen exposed aggregate patio stones. There are tightly packed pea gravel stones with a shiny to matte finish on the stone. You can buy the patio stones from large garden stores, but you can make your own fairly easily. Instructions as follows: Firstly, wash your pea-sized stones thoroughly. This can be done by placing them in a wheelbarrow and hosing them down with water, draining it and repeating the process until the water runs clear. Gravel can be purchased at lawn and garden centers, hobby shops or even taken out of a stream. Secondly, set up your molds on a flat surface out of the sun but in a dry area. There are a variety of molds you can choose from, either online or at craft stores. A simple mold is a thin, clear plastic plant-pot tray, which can be found in garden supply centers. Your mold should be about 2 inches thick. Thirdly, lay a layer of the pebbles in the molds. You want them to be one layer flat and not bunched up, but they also need to be as close to each other as possible with no visible gaps. You can be as decorative as you like, maybe using different colored pebbles in rows or circles. Fourthly, mix up your concrete in the wheelbarrow, adding the water according to the directions, but only a little at a time to make sure you don't get the concrete too thin. Mix it well with a hoe or with a trowel until there are no dry pockets remaining. It should be thinner than the consistency of chocolate pudding. Fifthly, gently pour the concrete into the mold, being careful not to disrupt the paving stones. Smooth the concrete out when the mold is filled. Cover it lightly and let it dry for at least 24 hours. Sixthly, unmold your patio stones carefully by turning them over and lifting off the plastic mold. They are not cured yet, so handle them as little as possible. Keep them on the flat surface and let them dry for another 48 hours. Seventhly, brush the pebbles clean with a brush and a little water to remove any concrete dust or film. Let it dry and apply a clear-coat finish to seal the concrete. Install your exposed aggregate patio stones, but allow a week of cure time before allowing traffic on them. Finally, let me have a conclusion. As a renowned business E-platform of promoting stone industry, we have been continuously merging all kinds of resources together, in which regard not only have we realized the strategic combination of Stones Yellow Pages and overseas famous stone magazines, but also our good cooperation with overseas stone associations and organizations.
