Model and winner of 2011s America's Next Top Model show, Lisa D'Amato was in a work-related accident and posted pictures of the damage on her Facebook and Instagram accounts on Thursday. From the images it is apparent her accident resulted in serious personal injury to the face. D’Amato was admitted to the hospital after the incident. The photos the 32-year-old posted of her face on her social media accounts to confirm the damage show she got stitches, swollen lips and black and blue bruise marks. She stated in the caption of the first picture from her hospital bed, "This is real. I broke my nose last night folks! Got rushed to the plastic surgeon & now I'm finished." According to People, the model confirmed that she got in the accident after wrapping up filming on the set of "Cowboys and Indians." Behind the scenes of the upcoming indie movie, she was attempting to do a celebratory handstand but failed and fell over injuring her face. “I will be just fine and will jump right back into my career being better and stronger than ever! Thanks for all the kind wishes and concerns," she stated on an Instagram post. To get through her accident during the period of recovery, the model admitted to keeping the situation light. She tries to stay upbeat by cracking jokes about her injuries and it helps. When she jokes about the situation others stay at ease and smile.
