Living in a Palolem guest house Palolem is situated in the southern part of Goa in India. It is a beach basically. It is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches of Goa. Therefore it is much visited nowadays. Previously it was known only by certain hippies who used to visit this place for the quietness and the serenity of its atmosphere. Now it has become a major tourist destination. However it is still very untouched and successfully retains its beauty and natural serenity. Palolem beach is close to the Dabolim airport which is at a distance of 67 kilometers by road from this place. Also it is well connected via bus from the Madgaon bus terminal. Also, the Madgaon railway station is at a distance of 43 kilometers from this isolated beautiful beach. There are several resorts and guest houses in this place to accommodate the tourists. Certain guest houses are located at a five minute walking distance from the beach. They provide with double bed or single bed rooms and hot water facility on an average tariff rate. The rooms on certain guest houses are also categorized on the basis of balconies or no balconies coupled with air conditioning facility. All the rooms have color televisions in a Palolem guest house. Some guest houses in Palolem were the renovated form of the colonial houses. One can get a touch of history living in these rooms. Also, the bar or lounge facilities are provided in certain guest houses. The Palolem guest house mostly gives off a village charm and has old style rooms. One can get the essence of the spirit of Goa living in these rooms. Being placed close to the beach, the rooms on the higher floors are mostly recommended as they can give a better view of the ocean. There are many low budget guest houses here as well. Some of them are eco friendly and made out of natural substances. They capture the beautiful essence of Goa. The room tariff in these low budget guest houses may start from INR 800 per day. The boutique guest houses however are provided with facilities such as en-suite attached bathrooms with every luxurious room. Also, twin room facilities that are separated by a door are available in these guest houses. Also, there is Wi-Fi and television provided in every room the rooms in most hotels have a touch of European style interiors with an eastern overall appeal. Most of the guest houses near Palolem beach have well appointed rooms and nicely furnished rooms with double bed or single bed options. These guest houses have an ambience that suit the family or couple tourists. However, some of them also have much quiet and peace for the business travelers to visit.
