You may look around the listings or if you have an idea about the kind of car you want, you can fill up the search form at the home page. Just so you don’t get confused by the terms on the form, here’s a simple guide about what they mean. • Keywords – These are descriptive words you can use in searching for the car you want. You can type in a brand name, a car model, or other descriptive words such as colors.
• Japan Stocks (dropdown menu) – The website also lists motorcycles and auto parts for sale. If you are looking for a car, you don’t have to modify this option.
• Make – Vehicle make refers to the brand of a car. They are alphabetically arranged in the drop-down box from A to Z, and include not only Japanese brands but European, American, Chinese, and Korean makes as well. There are over 80 vehicle brands available on the website.
• Model – also referred to as the nameplate, the car’s model name identifies it from the rest of the cars made by a brand. For example, in Toyota Corolla, the vehicle make is Toyota and the model is Corolla. The drop-down box for this search term lists all the available models based in the vehicle make you have selected.
• FOB Price Range – FOB means Free on Board. This refers to the price of a car that includes the cost of loading it onto a shipping vessel. You can select a price range depending on your budget; the search results will then show all of the listed cars from tradecarview Japan that fit in that range.
• Year/Month – This refers to the year that a car is manufactured. If the car you are interested in was released in several generations, you can select a particular range of time to narrow down your search. For example, you can narrow down your search for a Toyota Corolla by selecting the years 1990 to 1996. • Displacement – Technically, this refers to the amount of gasoline a car’s engine can burn and therefore also the amount of power it can produce. The smallest car engine displacement is 1.0 liters; it can go up to 3.5 liters and even 6.0 liters for big trucks.
• Left Hand Drive / Right Hand Drive – Cars may be driven from the left or right side of the road, depending on your country’s regulations.
