Hello Strangers! After all that is what I’d call somebody who’s not aware of a great brand like Pepperfry. You see, I’ve been motivated to write this piece purely because a brand I love has been subjected to stories with titles like Pepperfry Fraud. So I realized it’s my moral duty to rise up against these attempts to tarnish one of my favorite e-commerce portals. So let us take the example of a loyal devoted Pepperfry customer, namely, me! I am a pretty social person, and I have about a 1000+ friends on all my social networking profiles. Half of these people have purchased products from Pepperfry and NONE of them have ever had anything to complain about. They’ve all received their orders in time and with all the details taken care of, to the last detail! From what my friends tell me about the portal, I’d even go far enough to say that Pepperfry can almost read the minds of their consumers. For example, after I decided to write this article, I realized I can’t make baseless claims about how great this brand is. So I ordered a TISSOT watch from the website. Mind you, this watch cost me a whopping Rs. 20,100. The SKU number for this watch is Tissot T17151632. I received the watch in 3 business days flat, as was promised by the portal. Without even opening the watch I took it to a store near my place which sold watches from all brands and I gave it to one of representatives there. He confirmed that this watch was original and in perfect running condition and has never been used before or tampered with. Now, somebody please make me understand, if I can depend on a brand so much that I can buy a product worth Twenty Thousand Rupees, and get it in perfect condition, how in the name of God can these Pepperfry Fraud stories be true? For all you know, these could just be fake stories planted by the brand’s competitors. There are some unfortunate cases where the product that reaches the consumer is damaged, or is at some level tampered with. For this purpose, the consumer has the right to return the product back to the brand and get a cash-refund or have it exchanged. At the same time, while you are expecting unparalleled convenience of the product being delivered to your doorstep, you also need to keep in mind the fact that any brand, no matter how stellar, is prone to fall victim to human error. There’s a 1% chance that you may turn out to be that unlucky guy or girl who got a bad product because somebody somewhere in the supply or procurement chain messed up. Apart from the cash refund and payment AFTER trial options, Pepperfry has made the effort to have a customer service that works 21 hours a day to make sure all customer care complaints are taken care of. Therefore, all this takes me back to the original argument in question: Where are these Pepeprfry Fraud stories coming from?
