Indeed, as striplings we are going through one of the best parts of our lives. Since all of us are physically strong, have good memory, not worried about vicious health issues that usually takes place as time moves on. Perhaps all these above mentioned things are becoming cause of our apathetic and tepid behavior regarding Islam. No, I'm not going to find faults in anyone's life, though there are a couple of basic questions that one should ask his/herself. First question, "If we take a look at our lives (including me), then how many of us could admit that we are true Muslims (Mommens)? Second one, which maybe a bit more jittery "Is having a typical Islamic name adequate enough to be a true Muslim? I mean, can we still remain Muslim without practicing or following all rules of our religion which are thoroughly mentioned in Quran and also demonstrated by Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) through His life which are preserved in the form of Hadith. The most intimidating facet that menacing my heart is there are too many things which are vital part of our lives and are completely and unarguably prohibited (Haram) according to Islam. But we are still practicing all these obsessions just like they are utterly permitted. Would you like to read some examples? Here they are Music Yes, music! Listening to favorite songs is an imperative activity of our daily routine and if I'm not wrong over 99% of people like us usually spend at least 30 to 60 minutes each day to satisfy their "Rock n Roll" cravings. But unfortunately we dis-remember that these illicit hungers will bring us to the luxurious apartments of "HELL". Our Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said: "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal fornication, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection". Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 7, Book 69, hadith #494v Well, my dear friends, regrettably I was also a big follower of Linkin Park, Schiller etc. but after reading, knowing and admitting this fact that music is Haram I have changed my life. Not only music, we are also audaciously brushing off the rules of "Hijab" and "Musbil". Musbil is a term used for men who intentionally trails and lengthen their clothing (trousers) below the ankles. Following Hadiths will make this point clear. "Narrated Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu: The Prophet salal laho aliehi wasalam said: "The part of an izar which hangs below the ankles is in the Fire". Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 72, Number 678) ALLAH Pak said in Quran: "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e.screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And ALLAH is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful". (Al-Ahzab 33:59) After acknowledging all these facts if we still do not consider these rules of Islam in our lives, then thinking about Heaven at the Day of Judgment is just meaningless. Lastly, I am not scholar and have also committed thousands and millions of sins in my entire life so far (May ALLAH forgive me). But I just want to say that this life is too short and certainly we are here not to conjure up our bank balances, getting thousands of FB likes or other things like that. Shortly, we are going to die. Our parents, friends and loved ones will yell and cry for awhile, but after some years they will forget us and our name will banish from this community, as we never exist. At that time, only our good and bad deeds will determine our future life, "The Eternal Life". So, isn't that the best time to sculpt ourselves according to our dearly loved religion? I guess it is. After all, Hell is not a gratifying, delightful and most amusing place to live!
