Perhaps, you are an online article author like me - well, if so, by now you probably have a lot of articles online posted at one of the top online article directories. Have you ever considered reusing and re-editing some of that content into an eBook in your field or niche? You should. And in case you don't have enough content, why not get with another expert in your field who also is smart enough to have written and posted some online articles in the same niche? This is very easy to do, just email a fellow author who is in your niche, but is not really a competitor, and by associating together with each other you are validating both your expert status. Since, together you both will have enough to create an eBook, there is not a whole lot of writing left to do, just editing time, with existing content. Not long ago, I was discussing this with a fellow online article author and as we got started I said; "Meanwhile you can go to the online article directory in the niche category and pick the articles I have on that particular topic that you'd like to see in that eBook." Since the eBook was going to be on a small business topic, I suggested looking at the articles in the categories of; Small Business, Entrepreneurship, Customer Service, Advertising, Management, Marketing, etc. - and I explained; "I also have many business book review recommendations which would be good references for the back of the ebooks." If you are putting together a small business eBook project, you should consider the concept of placing book-review articles in the back of the book as a bonus. Why you ask - because it adds credibility and allows the reader additional sources to read up on the topic. Now then, the hard part of these eBooks is editing, and gosh as a kick-butt entrepreneur, I just hate that part, I mean I really suck at it. But, figure this, if you are splitting this effort with a co-author and you are both going to have your names on it, then you can trust them to do a decent job editing too. They can help with that part. It sure makes things a lot easier, and you both might send the work-in-progress back-and-forth five or six times, but depending on how much content you have it's not going to take too long to complete. You see, I know that I could write an eBook in 72 hours from scratch, but I have all of this content already in my online articles, so why waste all that content? If you collaborate with a co-author, you have editing help, and you only have donate half of the content. For instance, I suggested; "one good thing about this is that perhaps I do 3-chapters, you do 2-chapters and we do one from me, one from you, one from me, with the bonus articles in the back from my archives, plus whatever you can add." Once completed, we can put this eBook on his website, then change the title and sell it on Barnes and Noble (dot) com too? His version could have a different title, see that point? Okay so, you see, how a couple of co-authors can do this to serve all of their purposes? And once you do one eBook project, I just bet you will want to do several more! Please consider this, and if you asking if I might like to co-author an eBook with you? I just bet the answer is yes, but you need to email me, so we can discuss it all.
