Subscribers always ask me what is the easiest way to start making money with an online business. The answer, of course, is to generate traffic. Once you begin to generate enough traffic, you will make money. But what if you are generating a little traffic, but it hasn’t yet reached that critical mass to really make you any substantial amount of money? If that sounds like your situation, there is a way to increase your profits. You’ve got to provide products on your site that people find irresistible. That way, even a small amount of traffic will make you money. Not a lot of money, but enough to allow you to do some advertising and encourage you to work harder. So, what kind of products are irresistible? Low priced items. Low priced products convert at much better rates than premium priced items. In fact, some of my low priced stuff converts at rates in excess of 10%. This is a phenomenal conversion rate, especially when you consider that the average Internet offering converts at around 1%. It seems that people are much more willing to take a chance on a $5.00 or $10.00 item that may work for them as opposed to spending $97 on a higher priced product. And the best part about selling low priced products is the fact that I don’t even spend a lot of time or money marketing them. I promote them by placing small ads in prominent locations on my web sites. In addition, I occasionally include a link for the main page where I market them in my articles. I suppose it takes me a few minutes to design the link. But, since I was writing the article anyway, it doesn’t require a lot of additional time. So how much can you expect to make selling low priced products? I offer 10 to 12 low priced products and I make several hundred dollars from them each month. It works out to about $30 per product. And that’s every month! And when you consider that they are maintenance free and work on autopilot, it is a pretty good deal.
