Payzone and Barclaycard Global Payment Acceptance have today announced that they will work together to develop a new card acceptance service for small businesses in the UK. The new service will enable Payzone to provide card acceptance services to small and growing businesses at the most competitive prices, with a simple and rapid set up process. The agreement will mean that any of Payzone’s 20,000 small business customers will be able to start accepting MasterCard and Visa card payments within 24 hours of their application being approved. For Payzone’s customers in the ‘convenience’ sector, adding card acceptance to their existing Payzone terminal is now even easier and faster. Accepting cards on the Payzone terminal means no additional telephone line is needed, saving costs, and less counter space is used, creating valuable additional selling space. Card Acceptance is a fast growing part of Payzone’s services and even businesses that are not in Payzone’s traditional ‘convenience’ sector can now benefit from an improved ‘card acceptance only’ service.
