Tabata training is a premier exercise regimen developed on based of the study conducted by Prof Izumi Tabata from the Ritsumekan University of the department of sports, health, and Science. Earlier he has served as the fellow Researcher of the National Institute for Health and Nutrition in Japan. His workout-training program Tabata Training is subdivided into twenty seconds of ultra intensive thorough exercise along with ten seconds of rest. This entire process used to repeat for continuously for four minutes and repeated eight times that is in eight different cycles. So here in this article, we will be focussing on this particular exercise program and how it helps you to maintain your body by losing your extra fat. This entire training module is popularly known as IE! Protocol and was originally being used to study athletes who underwent training programs. In the original research, two groups of athletes were examined and observed. One group was given elaborate training in moderate intensity workouts with at least seventy percent of intensity level, for a long five days during a six-week period. In this regard, each training module lasted for one hour on each day. On other hand, the other group of athletes being trained in high intensity workouts for four days per week, for a same period of six weeks. In this regard, these each session lasted for four minutes, at twenty second of high intensity training that means 170 % of intensity level and along with ten seconds of rest. So after the research gets over the following results was found. a) The first group showed a massive increase in cardiovascular area that aerobic system but in this case, no result was found on anaerobic system that is the muscle area. b) Similarly the other group that is the second group showed a remarkable increase and development in both aerobic and anaerobic areas as compared to first group of athletes observed in the study. In this regard, it is to be noted that the use of high intensity and high impact exercises, have been shown to improve the performance of athletes. For the well-trained athletes, increasing the level of frequency of training would not capitulate further improvements. So in this way stamina can be achieved through high intensity training programs. This training regimen had been shown to burn fat more effectively. This may be attributable to the increase in resting metabolic rates. High intensity training also lowers insulin resistance levels, leading to muscle fat oxidation and improvement in glucose tolerance. The Tabata Training regimen includes exercises that can be completed within four minutes. If the eight ( cycles are completed in this regard, then it would be enough to make a fit person exhausted from all the extreme exercises. Before this program came in the front, there were two types of exercises that were used to be incorporated among the athletes’ exercise program – low intensity exercises for long periods to increase endurance, and the sprinting, that improves the ability to sprint. The latter, had shown to have no effects on endurance and aerobics. Tabata Training interconnects the two programs altogether to achieve maximum results.
