Kerala is undoubtedly full of honeymoon and vacation spots where tourists visit in all seasons. Kerala is the only state of Incredible India where tourists can enjoy their getaway in any season. When it comes to enjoy picnic over there, these are aforementioned picnic spots that you may haven’t visited before.

Picnic spots of Kerala 1.Veli Tourist Village: The Veli Tourist village possess a large number of wading pools, fish ponds and landscaped gardens in order to enjoy various water activities including boating. All in all, this village is a typical picnic spot which has everything for everyone including children. The village features lake for which hundreds of tourists visit here daily. One can hire paddleboat or pedal boat to explore leisure charm of lagoons and speedboat to have a quick ride over the waters. Apart from the lake, there is an 18 acre Waterfront Park which has a floating bridge to connect village with Shankhumkham Beach. In this stunning landscaped garden, the visitors can hire boats and enjoy swimming on the placid waters.

2.Kaviyoor: Lies on the Manimala River banks, Kaviyoor is a holy place known for Kaviyoor Trikkukkudi Cave Temple and Rock Cut Cave Temple which possesses its historical value and preserved by the Archeological Department as a monument. The Pallava Architectural Style resembles here which is dated back to the period of 8th Century AD according to the historians. The ancient stone sculptures are the great engravings over here in Kerala. The Shivalinga of Lord Shiva about the height of three feet is carved out from the rock, being the leading deity of the shrine in square cave. Hanuman Temple is another great shrine which reflects the architecture of gable style and stands on a little hillock.

3.Chellarkovil: Located only 15 km from Kumily, Chellarkovil is a sleepy small village where cascading waterfalls and plains are breathtakingly beautiful. Cumbum is located nearby the village which is known for coconut groves.

4.Anamudi: Located at 2695 meter above the sea level, Anamudi is the South India’s highest peak makes itself a great spot for trekking. There is a long rope way of 2.5 mile goes to 2810 feet high Top Station and a long rope way of 10 mile brings the tourists from Munnar to Kandala. In this conserved area, the sanctuary is categorized in three different zones – the buffer area, core area and the tourism area. Rajamalai is the tourism area where tourists are only allowed which lies over the entryway of Eravikulam by road. You can explore the most endangered mountain goat – Nilgiri Tahr.

5.Mararikulam: Also known as Marari, Mararikulam is the spot which is still unchanged over time. But this place gives a refreshing new experience to every holidaymaker whether it is your second time. This has crisscross small paths that go from courtyards by giving a breathtaking view of sunset along with swaying coconut palms, beautiful shoreline and thatched huts.
