There is no more effective and long lasting way to build an internet business than writing articles. Articles brand you as an expert in the field and develop a relationship with your potential customers before they have any real direct contact with you. Selling articles can even pay for your business start up costs if you are just starting out in the online marketing world. The key to using articles successfully to promote yourself and your business is to be able to produce good articles quickly and consistently. Here are 6 tips to help you do that. 1. Write every day. The more you write, the better you will get at writing. It is that simple. As you get more practice, you will be faster at every step from coming up with ideas through research through turning out a completed article. Don't let a day go by without producing at least one article and your article inventory will grow quickly. 2. Get Your Thoughts Organized Before You Begin You can make this as complicated as using mind mapping software, or as simple as typing out a few bullet points in your text editor before you start. Outlining your thoughts will make the article flow out of you much faster, and you will produce a much more coherent article. 3. Use Article Templates Don't just blindly start typing and hope things work out. You can end up staring at the computer screen for hours. This is closely related to tip number 2. There are many article templates available for free from the most prominent article directory, EzineArticles, and there are paid article templates available as well. You don't need to reinvent the wheel every time you start an article. Grab your templates and start plugging your thoughts in where they fit the best. You can have a finished article in minutes. 4. Start By Asking Yourself A Question The best articles provide answers to the questions your potential customers are already asking. If you have an answer to those questions, your article will practically flow onto the keyboard. Questions help provide a focus for your article. 5. Forget About Making Corrections Until You Finish Write as you speak and don't worry about spelling and grammar errors until you finish. Imagine you are just telling a friend about what you know. Let the ideas flow out and then go back to edit it later. You willl find that you can write much more quickly this way. 6. Get Rid Of Distractions This tip could apply to almost any task, but it is essential to writing articles. Close up your email, and quit checking the weather or listening to the radio or television and concentrate on your article until you finish. Every time you turn your attention to something else while in the middle of writing your article, it takes several minutes to get your head back into the game.
