It is common when you are working in any establishment to encounter some problem regarding your health and safety, and you might even get injured in some cases, depending upon the nature of the place where you are employed or working. An employee can get hurt at the workplace during the delegation of his duties and obligations. In other situations, the nature of your work or the place where you are working may include a lot of hazards, and you might actually get hurt badly due to that. For example, a person working in an acid factory might get injured due to his close interaction with the dangerous substances. Similarly, any accident such as the collapse of the roof or the breakage of some machine may lead to causing serious injuries to the employees working there. Accidents do happen at work places. They may depend on the nature of the work itself. However, the important thing here is that the employer has the duty to take proper measures to reduce these accidents and ensure the safety and health of the employees working for him. If any accident happens at the workplace and an employee gets hurt, he is the one who will be held responsible. Therefore, the state has devised some laws that govern the health and safety issues at the work place. These laws are aimed at protecting the rights of the employees of health and safety at work place. Every country has their own health and safety laws that all the organizations have to implement and follow. From the point of view of the employer, the health and safety laws are very helpful. They help them in eliminating the extra costs they will have to bear in case an employee gets injured or sick at work and the loss of work they will have to bear in case of his absence because of injury. So, for both the parties, it is equally beneficial. Every country has its own health and safety laws for the protection of the employees. The employees must be fully aware of these laws and should demand to be provided with their right to safe and healthy establishment.
