It has been suggested that one way to begin writing articles is the "7 Tips" or "5 Ways" or "6 Secrets" or how many whatever. Did these words appear frequently in my database in this admittedly old and over used group of articles? Here are the word count results: basics 50 ideas 80 mistakes 31 myths 31 products 32 questions 34 secrets 80 steps 123 strategies 42 things 92 tips 468 ways 217 Should you rely on these results as a precise guide for article titles? Definitely not. Are they an indication that tips articles have always been popular. Probably so. This was an adventure in learning a little bit about the perl programming language and something really neat called regular expressions. Regular expressions are used to identify text patterns. They are an incredible tool for the analysis and manipulation of text.
