Automobile manufacturers are continuously developing hybrid technology for millions of eco-conscious consumers around the world. Hybrid-electric vehicles are quickly populating the automotive industry and you can even find hybrid Japan used cars for sale from exporters in Japan. What makes this technology so special and what are the benefits you can get from using a hybrid? And most importantly, what are the hybrid models you can get for a more affordable price? What makes hybrid cars different? Hybrid-electric vehicles make use of two engines: a small traditional internal combustion engine and a battery-powered electric motor. Because hybrids use both gas and electricity as energy source, it does not need as much gasoline as other cars that use internal combustion engines only. Hybrids also make use of advanced technologies to generate power, such as regenerative braking, automatic start and shutdown, and electric motor drive/assist. All of these technologies function to generate and optimize power, and prevent energy waste. Benefits of using hybrids Green technology advocates encourage the use of electric and hybrid vehicles because it benefits the environment by conserving resources such as fuel and decreasing the amount of carbon dioxide emissions, making the world a cleaner place. Less fuel consumption means using up fewer resources; less harmful gases means fresher air for all. It was in 1997 when Toyota began mass-producing the Prius hybrid, and since then the company reports that all of its hybrid models, including exported Japanese used cars for sale in Africa, have saved approximately eleven million kiloliters of gasoline and have reduced emissions by around thirty million tons. Hybrid technology also benefits owners because they would not have to fill up as often and as much as when they had been driving around in cars with traditional gasoline or diesel engines. This translates to more savings. Toyota Hybrids There are currently 19 hybrid models and one plug-in variant in Toyota’s lineup. In 2012, Toyota Motors announced that by the end of 2015, they would have launched an additional twenty new hybrid models. Their newest are hybrid versions of formerly purely internal combustion engines: the Auris, Yaris (Vitz), RAV4, Camry, and Highlander (Kluger). Toyota also has models for the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM): the Toyota Harrier SUV, Estima Hybrid SUV, Toyota Sai sedan, Alphard Hybrid, and the new Toyota Crown Hybrid sedan. These JDM models can now be bought from Japanese exporters. Honda Hybrids Another top contender in the hybrid market is Honda, whose cars are also popular among Japanese used cars for sale. Here’s a fun fact: Honda was the first-ever company to offer a mass-production hybrid vehicle for Europe and the United States. Honda’s fuel efficiency plan is to make hybrid versions of their small cars, and for their larger vehicles, make improved diesel engines. In the secondhand market, you can find the hybrid versions of the Honda Fit and Civic, and the new hybrid models CR-Z and Insight. Other auto manufacturing companies such as Nissan and Mazda are following suit in the massive development of hybrid cars. Soon enough, there will be plenty of hybrid-electric models among Japan used cars for sale, which would be good not only for eco-conscious consumers but also and more importantly, for the environment as well.
