Modern industrial radio controls enabled emergency shutdown systems are developed for a common purpose to shutdown the vehicle or machines in an emergency condition. At the same time, it also eliminates the cost of hard wiring of fixed location emergency stop switches. The operator can install any number of wireless remote E-Stop switches within the plant facility and communicate with one receiver/controller unit. These systems will work in conjugation with existing, hard-wired, manual E-Stop switches and plant safety controls. Operator worn E-Stop remotes can also be added to these systems. The Emergency Shut Down system is actually included with a powerful industrial wireless controls. These fixed-frequency remote E-Stop switch can generally operates at 433MHz using two double “A” batteries. All the transmitters used in this system are energized only when E-Stop switch is activated. Battery TEST button is also available which shows a “low battery” flashing LED on the E-Stop switch as well as on the receiver/controller unit. The operating range of these powerful industrial transmitters is up to 1000ft. While using these industrial radio controls daily E-Stop transmitter battery tests and scheduled battery replacement intervals are strongly recommended. The E-Stop transmitters and receiver/controller shut-down will NOT operate when the remote E-Stop transmitter batteries are exhausted. The direct sequence, spread-spectrum remote E-Stop switch is also available for operating at 2.4GHz by using a rechargeable battery pack. The E-Stop switch and receiver/controller unit are connected via SafeLink. This SAFELINK is considered as a continuous monitoring feature exclusive to all Emergency Shut Down systems. Any loss of signal connection between the remote E-Stop switch and receiver/controller results in an automatic E-Stop trigger until the signal is restored. These high powered E-Stop transmitters have an operating range of up to two miles. All the transmitters must be connected to a back-up power supply as the battery pack will operate for only seven days. Backup power can be 12/24VDC, 120/240VAC, and solar powered where practical. The frequency of the transmitters used in these E-Stop switches is specifically 433.92MHz. Additional 2.4GHz DSS or 869.7 and 902-928 MHz are also available. The transmitter can work in a 56 bit DES encryption key transmission method. The whole transmitter and receiver unit is rugged in a rugged weatherproof polymer enclosure. External Rubber Flex antenna is also available with a normal range of 1000ft (300m). High powered signal option is available within Up to 2 miles. The transmitter can work within a temperature range between minus 20 F to 185 F. Common ‘AA’ type Rechargeable Lithium Ion battery is included with 12/24VDC charger. Once recharged the battery has 300 hours of continuous use capacity. Radio Frequency activity LED and Low Battery indicator are also available. The receiver unit can work with 120/240VAC power supply. Additional 12/24VDC systems are also available. The receiver unit can take the maximum output up to 24Amps VAC and the output type is 24Amp VAC Dry Contact Relay. All these modern industrial wireless controls Emergency Shutoff system is available for bulk plant and industrial facilities. They are used for eliminating expensive wiring, conduit, and labor needed to connect hard-wired shutoff switches. They include test mode, low battery warning and optional solar charging. BASE Engineering designs excellent industrial wireless controls for different engineering and commercial purposes including butane and propane industry and industrial petroleum sector. Since 1996 over 50,000 BASE systems have been employed around the globe to increase job safety and productivity. Wireless industrial radio controls, in our hand, have moved into the next level.
