What's an example of the best copywriting in the world? I'll tell you what, this is something I've been asked a lot, and I believe the answer is this: "The best copywriting looks nothing like copywriting." Having been in sales for 15 years now, I've found that the best sales people have a "siren quality" to their approach. In other words, by the time you realize what's happening to you, it's too late...they're about to close you. Have you ever started reading an email or a website and realized more than halfway through it that you were reading a pitch for a product? Not only that, by the time you realized what was happening, you were SOLD on the product. The power of this kind of copywriting is that it slips in under your radar, while your guard is down. Now, how would you like to be able to create that kind of writing? Let me tell you who I learned it from The World's Greatest Copywriters? Here's a list of who I believe are the greatest copywriters alive: Stephen King, Stephanie Meyer and JK Rowling. Hey, laugh if you want but these cats are hypnotic. They've done better than sell their products. They've created entire worlds within the imagination of their readers. In fact, I won't dare pick up one of Stephen King's books cause I end up sucked in for the next three days of my life. I've personally spoken to people who claim to have picked up one of the Twilight books to "see what all the fuss was about," and next thing you know they're hooked like a lab rat on crack. Yet if you pick up one of these writer's books, not ONE place will you find anything like this: "You MUST buy this book now, you MUST read it! This offer will not last! Hurry and bring this book up to the cashier stand and purchase it RIGHT NOW!" (No, I don't write that way....but you get the point) My point is that if you want to create copywriting that penetrates the minds of your readers, you don't need to convince them of anything and you don't need over the top sales language. All you need to do is be a great storyteller, paint them into the story and make the story all about how your product or service can change their life. Yes, this takes practice, but if you study these master storytellers and work on creating writing that hooks people like a drug. Sound impossible? The most widely read author of all time is Agatha Christie. A few years ago, experiments were done to measure brain wave patterns and emotional response to her writing. What did they find? They found patterns similar to those experienced during sexual euphoria and states induced by narcotics. Now that's what I call copywriting that gets you hooked. college essays to buy
