Breitling Watches are perfect for those who don’t like to comprise on quality, performance and precision. It is apt for those individuals who believe that performance speaks for itself. Breitling Watches were launched in the year 1884 in St. Imer a town located in Switzerland. Started by Leon Breitling, the time pieces were high end chronographs that were created for use in the scientific as well as industrial purpose. Leon believed that this segment of the market was untapped and they would be able to create the perfect time pieces for this sector. These watches have a long standing history with the aviation industry where they are well known for their precision, reliability factor and their high performance level. After Leon’s demise in 1914, the company came under the guidance of Gaston his son. With few years of taking over the company, Gaston, who keenly followed the developments in the aviation industry realized that the pilots of the different flights did not have an appropriate tool that will tell them the correct time. And the wristwatches they used were of poor quality which failed to perform and tell the exact time at such high altitudes. So he used this knowledge to his profit and came up with the first ever chronograph wrist watch which he faithfully distributed amongst the pilots. These time pieces were the first wristwatches created by Breitling. As a result of this Breitling Watches started gaining recognition and popularity across the globe. With the passage of time Breitling Watches started flourishing. The year 1932 is significant in the history of Breitling as it was on this year that Gaston successfully joined a contract with the RAF thereby solidifying their relationship with the aviation industry more. In the year 1952, Breitling went a step further in their relationship with them and launched the Navitimer collection. The specialty of the time piece was a navigation computer that had the capacity to handle all the planning and steps that went into a successful flight. This time piece did the flight plan calculations, thereby providing the pilots much needed relief that no other time piece in the world offered. Their watches were sop technologically advanced and into the “future” zone that Astronaut Scott Carpenter wore one of their time pieces on his expedition in the year 1962. One of their another significant contribution is their emergency watch series that allows the wear to broadcast distress signals at twenty thousand feet in the air as well as hundred miles on the plain areas. The frequency this watch uses is 121.5 MHz, till date this time piece has successfully saved the lives of twenty one individuals. In fact this time piece is so effective that it is worn by Bear Grylls, the man in the show titled Man Vs Wild. With 100 years of technological excellence and innovation Breitling Watches are one of a kind.
