Yaris/Vitz This nifty little subcompact has been equipped with the Toyota Entertainment Communications Hub, or TECH (YRX and ZR variants). The new Yaris is tops on safety, and comes with seven SRS airbags, among other advanced safety features such as Intelligent Active Braking, Anti-Skid Braking System, Brake Assist, and Electronic Brake-force Distribution. Hilux The Hilux is one of the world’s toughest trucks, and it’s even more improved with the new release. It has a reputation for supreme reliability, durability, and function. Buyers of the new Hilux can choose from three powerful engines: a 2.7-liter gasoline with VVT-i, a 4.0-liter gasoline V6 with VVT-i, and a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with Electronic Direct Injection. With these combinations, you can be sure to have superior truck power. Corolla The new Corolla is now the eleventh-generation release of the world’s bestselling car and it has considerably been improved in terms of on-road dynamics, fuel efficiency, and environmental safety. In Australia, the new Corolla has been fitted with an improved 1.8-liter four-cylinder gas engine that generates 103kW of power. Land Cruiser 70 Series Double Cab Industrial trucks are also what’s new in Toyota cars. The 70 Series of the Land Cruiser line is a Toyota’s answer to the need of the mining sector (among other physical work-based sectors) for a rugged vehicle that’s tough, reliable, and functional. The double cab has a large fuel tank that can store up to a whopping 130 liters, a powerful 4.5-liter turbodiesel V8 engine, and part-time four-wheel drive. RAV4 It’s interesting to note that the RAV4 has been in the market for more than two decades, and it just keeps on getting better. The latest RAV4 release features sharper driving dynamics, thanks to the new all-wheel drive system and a selectable sport mode for more fun. In addition, the new RAV4 now has three new engines, including a turbodiesel engine. Camry and Camry Hybrid Improvements on the new Camry are a new 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with six-speed automatic transmission for improved performance and fuel economy. The real highlight in this line though is the Camry’s hybrid version, a fuel-efficient ride that has been touted as one of the best hybrid cars in Australia. Prius v A summary of what’s new in Toyota cars won’t be complete without mentioning updates on its pioneering hybrid line, the Prius. The Prius v, for one, is one of the best new releases. The “v” in the model’s name stands for versatility, and that is truly one great quality this seven-seater car, because it means it can accommodate more passengers than most other hybrids. The Prius v joins the Prius family of hybrids, which includes the Prius c hatchback. And that’s it for the quick rundown of what’s new in Toyota cars. There are plenty of new models and upgrades to look forward to especially in the hybrid and SUV segments, so stay tuned!
