When someone is involved with catering, this means they are basically a type of server. This type of serving can be done from a truck or a car that is specifically designed for that reason. This serving event is typically common when there is an outdoor event at workplaces, downtown, and concerts. Events There is a huge amount of catering options available. This sometimes makes it hard to debate on what will be best for the guests of the event. The events can range from anywhere between cheese and lunch drop off to a full-service server. Caterers and their staff are considered part of the foodservice industry. These server services that are provided will depend on the specific event and will include: delivering and cooking food, delivering and serving food, decorating, and full-service serving. Many times the caterer is recognized as an event managing company. When people refer to someone who serves food, they think of an event where the server will wait on the staff and the dining tables, as well as setting up the buffet. The food can be made at the event or made at their business and finish it once they arrive at the event. The servers are not required to prepare any food but they will typically want to help set up the dining room. The service normally requires conventions, weddings, and banquets. Boxed Lunch A box lunch consists of chips, dessert, sandwich, and fruit. A boxed lunch includes preparation by the caterer and dropping it off at a certain location for the client's needs. Typically, box lunches are needed in a corporate business for working lunches when the staff simply don't have time to eat. A boxed lunch is typically ordered a couple days ahead of time before the desired delivery date. This is a great, cheaper alternative than going to lunch at a restaurant. Each lunch is divided up into one container so everyone will get his or her own meal. The servers offer many different sandwiches: - Turkey - Roast Beef - Egg - Ham - Chicken - Tuna Salad - Vegetarian The box lunch will include chips, dessert, and some fruit. There will be drinks such as juices, water, and sodas. The reason for boxed lunches is for the clients to be able to grab their container of lunch and be on the go. The boxed lunch will be marked with what type of sandwich will be included. There will be individual bags that will allow guests to rid their trash neatly so everything will be kept clean. If a company is having a meeting in the conference room, it is beneficial for the staff to be able to clean up their lunch easy so they can get back to work on time.
