Nowadays, there is a constant dispute between using nuclear or solar and wind energy. Moreover, nuclear plants do not harm the environment around them. The water used to cool them does not pass through a contamination area so it is safe to reintroduce it in the natural circuit. Because there are no gas emissions, the fauna and flora of the local area are not by the least affected so it can be safely inhabited even by endangered species. Also, the costs of managing a nuclear plant are probably among the cheapest in the energy production industry. It is highly reliable and can provide electricity for all the country not just locally. Unlike nuclear, solar and wind energy sources are highly unreliable. The fact is that not all places on earth or even in one country have the natural resources to produce the energy it would take to supply a larger area. Weather is in very few places on earth constant so it's very hard and even irresponsible to base the entire energy supply of an area on this source. Most of us don't even realize how much we use electricity. We use it to light our house, wash our clothes, work on our computers, basically everything we do and everywhere we go. Electricity is what fuels our day to day activities. And we don't even have the technology to implement a system based only on solar and wind energy. Moreover, it is very expensive to install wind turbines and solar panels and their maintenance causes large expenses as they can break down easily. To conclude, the dispute between the use of nuclear versus alternative sources of energy like solar and wind is still very intense among their supporters. Although many people fear nuclear plants, the fact is that they produce cheap, environmentally friendly and reliable energy for vast territories, whereas solar and wind sources are expensive and unusable in most places because of weather unpredictability.
