There's really only one way to say this - If you're an affiliate and you only make money selling one product at a time without any backend, you're doing affiliate marketing the hard way. Please let me explain... If you're a typical affiliate, you probably have a newsletter or blog that you use to connect with your prospects. You use this platform to send useful content to these prospects and to build a relationship with them. You also send out promotions for your affiliate products and services. But here's the problem: I'm willing to bet that most of these promotions are for one-off purchases - things such as ebooks, video courses or software products. The problem with promoting stuff like this is you earn a commission once for each customer, and then you have to try and find other stuff to sell to those customers if you want to keep the commissions rolling in. Profitable, yes - but there's an easier way to make money as an affiliate. And that's by selling products and services with recurring commissions. This means that you need only sell a product or service once to a customer, and yet the commissions keep flowing into your bank account month after month. Let me share with you five popular types of products and services that pay recurring commissions: 1. Membership Sites These are the sites where members pay a monthly membership fee in exchange for receiving continued access to the site. The site may offer training, products or services. Private label rights (PLR) memberships where people get new PLR content each month are very popular because of the internet's insatiable appetite for content. Weight loss memberships are another example where members might get help to lose weight each month. They can include access to experienced coaches who offer support and motivation, or maybe even a forum with other members so they can chat about their weight loss goals. 2. A Fixed-Term (60-365 Day) Membership Site This is like a traditional membership site, in that members pay an ongoing fee every month in order to get continued access to the site. The big difference here is that their membership and monthly commitment ends after a period of time. Typical memberships last anything from two months, to six months a even year or more. When the fixed term ends, the member stops getting updates and the automatic monthly billing comes to an end as well. A Huge Tip: Three to four months is the normal length of time people will stick with a paid membership site. Fixed-term members might last longer because they know there's an ending date, and we humans usually to want to finish what we start. You'll often see vendors use this model when they're selling training materials, such as a six month membership site which teaches members how to set up their own online business. 3. A 'Thing" Of The Month Club Physical products are usually what's being offered for sale with these kinds of memberships. An example would be a 'book of the month' or a 'fruit of the month' club where something new arrives each month for you to use or consume. As with a traditional membership site, customers get a new shipment of the goods each month until they decide to cancel. 4. Auto-Ship Programs Many businesses offer discounts to customers who join their auto-ship program. These are arrangements where a company will automatically send the customer a new shipment of product every month until they cancel. Generally this is a consumable product that the customer needs to purchase regularly. One such example is dog food. Another example is dietary supplements. 5. Services That Charge Recurring Billing Most of the examples so far have related to products, but there are all kinds of recurring services you can sell profitably as an affiliate too. And the best part is, if customers really need the service - for example to continue their business operations - they are unlikely to cancel. Services such as website hosting, autoresponder services, phone services and Cable Television are good examples affiliate products you could earn commissions on over and over again. So To Sum Up As you can see, there are plenty of recurring income opportunities for affiliates. You'll find these opportunities available to you no matter what niche you're in. So give it a try - you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how easy and profitable it is to make the sale once, yet keep receiving the commissions for months. In his new training Accelerate.
