Ganpatipule is found in the Konkan area of Maharashtra. It is about 25kms away from Ratnagiri and 375kms from Mumbai. There are only around one hundred homes in this city. Marathi is the local language; Hindi and English are accepted and spoken by many. Unsullied by commercialism Ganpatipule is among the best beach lovers, peace hunters and pilgrimage destinations in Konkan Maharashtra. Though one can reach Ganpatipule simply with state and non-public bus transport, I might suggest that going by auto or motor bike is the best choice to be flexible and visit the various part of beaches and close by places. Ganpatipule beach is amongst the most cleanest and impressive white sand beaches along the Konkan coast. The beach is about 12 kilometers long and offers astounding view of Konkan shore. Palms stand across the beach ; coconut water is sold for a good price here. Swimming is a total must for people that can swim, but one must avoid going far away as each year there are some deaths reported due to drowning, one should note there aren't any lifeguards on the beach. If you're going with you family I might suggest that you take toys for youngsters to play on the beach, there aren't any toyshops in Ganpatipule. The church is four hundred years old and is at the foot of a hillock. You'll find a 400-year old Swayambhaoo ( a naturally formed idol ) Ganpati. Thousands visit the church of Ganesh each year. Thanks to the increase in tourism, one or two resorts have opened in Ganpatipule. The best liked is the Maharashtra Tourism Development Co. resort found close to the beach. The costs of Hostels aren't dear as other holidaymaker spots in Maharashtra. The most suitable time to go and visit Ganpatipule is from October to mid-February, with temperatures dropping at nights. From March to April end the temperature begins to rise but infrequently rises above thirty C. May is the latest month with temperatures reaching thirty five C. The monsoon period is from June to October. The town Velneshwar has its own relaxed beach. It is about 36kms away from the Ganpatipule beach. You may visit this beach if you're traveling with an auto or on a motorbike. Around 25kms away is the Ratnagiri city. The area is discussed in the Indian mythology. This 17th-century fort offers a completely unique view of the Ocean. It is about 20kms away from the Ganpatipule beach.
