Using changeover valves, you can easily switch between gas bottles without the need of a fitter or a handyman. You get manual and automatic gas changeover valves. Using such valves, you can connect multiple cylinders at a time. The Connecting Essentials The LPG kit contains accessories for safe transit of the fuel and to regulate its flow. The kit normally contains a regulator, piping and lpg changeover valve. The regulators can either be manual or automatic, and can connect from one to multiple bottles at a time. Manual switching is the traditional method, yet is still in use. Large commercial establishments and restaurants normally use automatic valves to switch between gas bottles. Although most homes use automatic valves, there are still customers who prefer manual changeover valves to use at home. Automatic Changeover Valves In most countries, automatic valves are prominently in use. Two cylinders can be connected together to the valve, with one being in use and the other is left open to use when needed. Using an automatic gas changeover valve, the switching happens without manual assistance. The bottle that is empty will have the valve indicator color changed to red to notify that the fuel is over, and the indicator is turned towards the one being in use. While using such valves, both are left open, so the switching can happen automatically and easily. This can save your time and efforts. This also ensures there is continuous supply of fuel as you use it. As soon as you replace the empty cylinder, you should turn the indicator towards the one that is already in use so that it will indicate once it is empty. Automatic valves can connect two or more bottles at a time. The Automatic gas changeover valves are used to provide uninterrupted gas supply and greater in-line security as these LPG changeover valves automatically measure incoming gas pressure and change over to another supply if the pressure drops. Manual Changeover Regulators Manual changeover valves have no indicators to notify you once the fuel runs out. Using a manual valve, you can connect one or more bottles at a time. The valve on the empty cylinder has to be turned clockwise to turn it off. The lpg changeover valve is then turned towards the bottle that is full. The valve on the full gas cylinder has to be turned anti clockwise to turn it on.
