Davidoff is a well-known Swiss cigarette brand of premium class, which produces a wide range of tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobaccos. The company which owns this premium cigarette brand is Imperial Tobacco Company. In 1967 Davidoff started a cooperation with a Cuba's tobacco company called Cubatabaco. Together they planned to create a brand of cigars for local Cuba's stores. Soon came The Château Mouton Rothschild with a new taste and size. Imperial Tobacco bought Davidoff brand in 2006 for 540 million euro from Tchibo Holding AG. In 2007 Rothmans, Benson & Hedges of Canada started to import cheap Davidoff cigarettes for sale in Canada. Today Davidoff cigars are being produced in Dominican Republic by Henke (more formally known as Hendrik Kelner). Some cigars brands went out of production, other were modified. For example, Chateaux series were renamed into Grand Cru series. Generally, wine names were replaced with numbers. There were added new series such as Millennium series, Aniversario series, etc. Besides this, davidoff produces cigarillos and cigars named "Zino".
